We had an amazing stay September 2021. The view from our room was spectacular! Catharine and Frances were perfect hosts and we learned so much from them about the history of the area. We happened to be there when a large blue fin tuna was coming in and Frances gave us a special tour of the fish dock which we will never forget. We highly recommend Gillies by the Sea!

This stop was spur of the moment, BNB was impressive, the apartment was fresh and new, clean, the location was impressive. The owners were very inviting and really nice. Would definately recommend and do again!

Our experience at Gillies by the Sea was top notch. The owners Catherine and Frances were the best hosts we had on our 12 day visit to Cape Breton. We felt right at home and their knowledge of the surrounding area made us feel like we had our own personal tour guides. The view from our bedroom over the Port Hood Harbour was spectacular. We hightly recommend this gem of a "B & B

We were well taken care of even through Hurricane Dorian. We felt part of the family, very hospitable. We had a great view of the water and the marina from the sun room, so relaxing. They went the second mile to make our stay pleasant.
