(January 14, 2023, 10:08 pm)The Elisabeth Fisher Hunting Cottage provided good accommodation for 4 . The cottage was clean EXCEPT for the toilets! The owner was furious when I mentioned that on the phone and told me "Never to reserve with then again". If you plan on staying there for more than 1 night take extra of everything, garbage bags etc.

(September 21, 2022, 10:41 am)There are three cottages in the property. Nicely decorated and very well kept. Very clean and comfortable. Right at the beach, with a small deck facing the waterfront. A relaxing place for vacation, with cooking or BBQ facilities. Would like to stay longer if we have time! The owner is very friendly and the service is attentive to details.

We stayed in cottage #1, which was clean, airy, well equipped, and had a nice sized deck that was perfectly situated to soak up the sunshine and enjoy the view. The layout of the cottages provides for maximum privacy and tranquility. The owners were friendly and responsive to all requests. So relaxing!

(August 31, 2018, 3:30 pm)If you are a solo traveler, couple or small family that want a quiet place to get away from it all, then Haus Treuburg should be the perfect spot for you. We stayed in one of the cottages for 2 days and if I could plan the trip again I would have stayed much longer. Every detail was accounted for which is quite exceptional in itself on "the island". The clean, simple, & light coastal aesthetic of the wonderful little cottage was in perfect harmony with the tranquil coastline and private beach that embrace the cottages. Sunsets, flowing curtains in the breeze, and the rhythmic sounds of the waves crashing into the shoreline below really helped us recharge our mental batteries and to be honest this was the first time on our trip that we truly felt like we were on vacation. I was also pleasantly surprised to find an incredible mix of shorebirds along the beach which I found endlessly entertaining as a photographer. We had breakfast in the main house on both mornings and it was generous, healthy and wonderfully presented in the parlor of their 19th century "arts and crafts" inn. We didn't have supper in the inn but I regret not doing so as I suspect it would have been incredible as well. From a practical perspective we had everything we needed: a functional kitchenette, clean 3-piece bathroom, deck with a BBQ, clean towels and bedding, a TV with enough channels to entertain, and intermittent wifi as an added bonus (if you walk up to the inn the connection is solid). I highly recommend these cottages and was very thankful to have found them and to have met the most gracious hosts. Thank you.
