(March 24, 2023, 10:18 pm)Derek helped me when I had a severe shoulder impingement and intense pain. He is a professional, experienced physiotherapist who gets results. I saw an improvement very quickly after seeing him. It’s a real plus that there is a new gym facility to use for recovery exercises. Highly recommend Derek the physio at Union Health!

Between the first appointment regarding my shoulder and the simple exercise program he set me up with my shoulder is almost back to 100% after only a couple weeks. I’m looking forward to my follow up appointment to go over my progress and see what’s next. I highly recommend Derek whenever you need physio. He’s very knowledgeable and explains everything very well so you can get back to your normal activities as soon as possible.

(February 25, 2023, 9:08 pm)I’ve seen Derek over the last year and half for a couple injuries (torn achilles and a broken toe). The rehab process through Derek has been fantastic. I didn’t know what to expect coming to see a Physio for the first time and I feel very fortunate that I am able to work with Derek. He is very knowledgeable and patient. He also is very good at recognizing what works best for each person and if a routine is not getting the desired results, he has the important ability to recognize this and change course. Past the rehab for those mentioned injuries Derek has worked with me on lingering issues related to hip/back pain, stability and mobility. Derek was able to zero into what was causing these issues and I can’t express how much of a difference even just a few months have made. Skiing is a whole new world to me now where I feel strong and stable. Most importantly I am not in pain each time I come off the hill. I highly recommend Derek for someone looking for physio treatments.

(February 5, 2023, 12:11 pm)I received a thorough and professional assessment of my knee from Derek, and he provided me with a straightforward physio program to specifically support my mountain biking and snowboarding hobbies and help reduce injury when I’m outdoors on the trails. He now works out of Union Health and Performance, with private physio rooms and a gym, which streamlines the progression from physical assessment to working through physio exercises and building a physio plan. I highly recommend Derek.

(October 19, 2022, 9:28 pm)I went to see Derek as I had irritated my sciatic nerve and had a big road trip coming up. He has hugely relieved the discomfort - I now feel much happier about the adventure! I have done physio in the past but this was the first time I'd been to see Derek. He is the best! Highly reccommended!
