(October 9, 2019, 12:22 am)Sensei Alex works really well with the kids, despite the young age, he holds them accountable for their actions and works to teach them proper ways of handling themselves. Self control, perseverance, integrity, respect, indomitable spirit, truth - things to live by that aren't just limited to karate. It's great to see educators that help teach these important values to our next generations.

His passion for martial arts and for sharing his knowledge is inspiring. Great dojo, great team, great spirit!

(January 22, 2019, 7:00 am)Sensei Alex is so dedicated and passionate about teaching his students. My son has been thriving here and has been learning so much! I researched many other programs and took my son to a few trial classes at other programs... none even compared to the amazing experience we’ve had here. From the very first class I knew that this would be a program that my son could do long term. I’m so happy we found Capicio Zen Karate and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a family friendly activity!

(November 7, 2018, 3:01 am)Our two children attended Capicio Zen Karate for just over three years. Our daughter was 7 when she first started attending and progressed to an orange belt and attended three or four tournaments.
Our son, two years younger, started attending when he was six. He too attended the same tournaments.
Both learned a lot from competition and the variety of permanent and guest instructors.
When Sensei Alex had the opportunity to take over the lease this year and level up his Dojo, we were very excited for him and the students.
We recently left the Dojo - not because anything was wrong with the environment, nor the instruction... simply put the new time slots conflicted with other family commitments.
Both children have nothing but love and respect for Sensei Alex, his instruction, and his family who also participate and teach within the Dojo.

(April 8, 2018, 2:31 pm)I have been with Capicio karate for almost five years. My boys and I started with Sensei Alex at a community program and now at the SE dojo. It is a great place for families and for serious athletes. Sensei Alex and his family are knowledgeable and patient teachers. I would recommend Capicio Karate 100%.
