I recently did the puppy training and agility classes at Raising Canine. The classes were fun and informative. The classes help you build a special bond with your puppy and give you lots of resources for any specific issues your puppy may be having. My puppy was nervous with trying new things and watching her gain more and more confidence with each class was amazing. Thanks Velvet!

We rescued our dog in March of 2022. He is a great dog except for excessive on leash reactivity to other dogs. Initially we thought we could take care of it ourselves (both being lifelong dog owners), but simply taking our dog for a walk was stressful for us and the dog. We found the Reactive Dog Recovery Program at Raising Canine and it was wonderful! Justine was calm, professional and thorough while she trained both me and my dog. Not only did we learn focus games, but also how to watch out for our dogs stress level. My dogs behavior has been transformed. I can freely take him for walks equipped with the understanding of how to address my dogs stress level. He is not perfect yet, but he is significantly calmer when encountering other dogs. Beyond that, I feel confident I have excellent tools to continue to progress my dog on my own. If you have a reactive dog (to anything— people, dogs, doorbells/knocking, etc) I cannot recommend this course enough. Justine is phenomenal!

This is week three with Raising Canine and I am super impressed with the training so far. The training is focused on shaping your puppy through positive reinforcement to be a well behaved little fur ball. It starts with the very basics like focus games and slowly progresses to more advance training. I would highly recommend getting your pup enrolled in this class in the first 9 to 12 weeks as this is when a puppy learns the most and if the pup is not properly trained it can develop those bad habits. The instructor will show you what behaviors you want to encourage and which behaviors will become problems.

I have two dogs so I took them to two different classes with Justina. I have a 5 month old pup that I took to puppy class and a 1.5 y/o reactive dog that I took to her reactive class. I can honestly say that I've seen a huge difference in my reactive dog (a lot calmer, quicker to defuse, can be closer to other dogs, not as alert) and my pup has learnt so much (sit, lay down, wait, touch, eye contact, focus, leash walking). I must say that Justine's teaching style is great and it really allows you to build a healthy and positive relationship with your dog! Justine is very calm, kind and encouraging which makes the class so much fun! I definitely recommend her as a trainer!

We took two of our dogs to classes at Raising Canines and are very happy with the results and how Justine's classes run.

Our one dog was enrolled in puppy classes and learned so much through the methods Justine taught.

Our other dog was enrolled in the reactive dog class and we have seen the biggest difference in him. By the end of the class, he was able to stand less than 20 feet away from another dog without reacting and previously, he would react to a dog closer than 60 feet. Justine's calm demeanor and knowledge is unmatched and I would recommend her to anyone. You leave this class with the knowledge to help your dog succeed. We used other trainers before Justine and no one was even close to the success we've had with our dog after taking her classes.
