Due to the private property on each side, it is very small. There should be signage to give a clear representation of the boundaries. The top landing at street level is nice and the stairs down in good condition. My dog was a bit leary of them since they are perforated metal. The "beach" itself is a lot of big interesting rocks with course pebbles ect between. It is very slippery so be careful about walking on the vegetation. Nice view though and fun to watch the ferry and the water.
