(August 4, 2022, 2:53 pm)We stayed in the cottage closest to the boat launch. Cottage was clean and spacious. Newly updated furnace (which we didn't use because we stayed when it was still warm). Beds were comfortable, bathroom and kitchen were freshly redone.
Beach is nice and sandy, water is shallow and great for small children. Owners were lovely and accommodating. The store has everything you need if you're in a pinch and can't make it into town. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a lowkey cottage getaway. -

(August 30, 2020, 4:43 am)Stayed at the 2 bedroom, 1 sofa bed, 1 bathroom cottage, with AC - for 7days.
We had the best view and the most perfect spot for the kids to play on the sandy beach just 3 steps away from our front porch.
The cottage is very outdated a.k.a rustic.
The kitchen is fully equipped.
If you’re not into bugs or spiders this place may not be for you, as we have encountered many large spiders inside the house, the size of a toonie. Otherwise I strongly suggest to bring bug spray, after bite, allergy medicine, and antibiotic cream.
The owners are so welcoming and are one of the nicest people I’ve met.
One of the things that we loved doing was Kayaking, Paddle Boarding and Canoeing - all FREE for Mountain View Resort lodgers. There are 3 water slides out on the lake for kids to use, and it is all within (approx.) 40-50ft of shallow water.
I can definitely say that overall we are happy with our stay and have made great memories with our family. -

(July 22, 2020, 10:36 pm)We had a wonderful time, it was a vacation we needed after being cooped up all spring. The cottage was rustic, but clean and had everything we needed. The lake was perfect, sandy, shallow, and warm, and the kids had a blast with the kayaks and slides, and of course having a store that sold ice cream on site was a bonus.
The location is great, you occasionally hear some noise from Highway 60 but it isn't loud. It is not far from activities such as whitewater rafting, hiking in Algonquin, or looking for fossils in Eganville. We look forward to returning next year.
