What is happening to the John Deere brand that I knew while growing up on my Father's farm? I have been trying to decide between a new Kubota or John Deere 1025R utility tractor lately, but after following my neighbor's nightmarish story with his very new John Deere 2025R and a very indifferent dealer (Green Tech) I am very hesitant to consider John Deere now. He has had his new John Deere 2025R for almost 2 months and has not had a single day with it working safely or properly in spite of numerous trips to the dealer, many phone calls with both John Deere and the dealer. A locked up differential tore his lawn apart, leaking hydraulic cylinders on the loader means he can't go even close to full height or count on the bucket not to sink down on its own, endangering anybody or anything that might be beneath a paused load. The wrong lawnmower was delivered, wrong loader mounting brackets caused endless grief and many more issues. Multiple promises to fix the problems by Green Tech are either broken with a "no-show" or the tractor returning with the same problem still existing. The REALLY amazing part of the story to me is the indifference by multiple dealer employees as well as John Deere customer service. It is a shock to me about the poor quality control on delivering a new tractor by both John Deere and Green Tech, but how long they allow it to go on for a customer who paid good money to them.
