(June 30, 2020, 9:37 pm)I have known Greg Magwood for around 20 years, and i can vouch for him as an excellent person and excellent teacher. The philosophy is beautiful: 'the stronger you get the kinder you get', and Greg offers a wide variety of styles from graceful and slow, to powerful and explosive techniques. I chose the private lessons as i have some specific stuff to work on, and lots of questions. I was happily surprised to also find an added value in that Greg is recording the lessons, and offered me a link to review the lessons any time. Highly recommended!

(November 19, 2019, 2:19 pm)Our classes in Peterborough for my two daughters were fantastic - there are numerous kind, encouraging coaches and classes lead by Greg Magwood whom the kids just adore. Mix of boys and girls of all ages. Classes were of self-defense and a mix of martial arts, kids are active and engaged, and I love that all the kids do the moves all together so no waiting around for your turn. Building self-confidence and self-regulation, knowing the tools to get out of a bad situation and gives the kids the confidence to walk tall with many skills and knowing how to use them. Classes are inexpensive and you get so much more value than the actual cost. Absolutely each kid would benefit from these classes. Greg travels to Peterborough one day a week so it if fits your schedule, I encourage you to enroll your kid even for one season - they will love it and as a parent I bet you will too. Invaluable skills are taught in this class.

(October 14, 2016, 7:02 pm)Prior to meeting Sifu Magwood about 10 years ago I had studied Tae Kwon Do with various teachers. Through that time, although I developed some technical proficiencies, there was always something missing, some elements that inhibited me - Much of that is attributed to me, but as the saying goes "when the student is ready the teacher will appear"
I first started training with Sifu Greg Magwood 10 years ago - I knew I had found a teacher like no other. He has a unique combination of fun and gravitas; egoless ability to see through to the student, and the thing they need to hear at that time. After a few years break, and few kids later, our entire family looks forward to Wednesdays, when we get to elevate our game, learn something new. My wife takes private weapon's and Tai Chi lessons, our kids study Jiu Jitsu, and I get to mix it up with my Kung Fu brothers & sisters.
The last thing I can say is that you can learn a lot about a club from it's members. Greg attracts people without axes to grind, ego's to be polished, those that see they are in the dojo to learn and to teach, that we have an obligation to each other. Sifu Magwood has create a valuable home for his students and we're proud to be part of his family.
