Best Western Plus The Arden Park Hotel

This is a mid range, inn style hotel where you will be comfortable. The rooms are very nicely decorated with good linens and a comfortable bed. The washrooms are a good size with standard plumbing fixtures & have a ceiling heat lamp that was a plus. I appreciated the ability to control the heat and AC from the room. The bedroom floor has a comfortable carpet, and the room was generally clean.

The hotel has a very convenient restaurant accessible from the lobby, and although we didn’t eat there, the lunch menu looked good and was reasonably priced. The ceiling height in the corridors is low which is off putting, and although comfortable, this hotel has a motel feel to it and is not the kind of place I would like to stay for very long. The windows in the room do open a bit, but the views are to the busy road on Ontario street or the parking lot.

Just to add that we also stayed in a tower room on the same property looking out to the Bruce hotel which had a nice view. This room was somewhat more upscale than our first one. >I booked the hotel because I was keen to swim in the indoor pool and to use the hot tub. Both were a disappointment. Although the pool area is private and pleasant, the pool temperature was cold, too cold to swim in comfortably. The jets in the hot tub were weak and my skin smelled and itched from too much chlorine afterward. I wouldn’t use either facility again. In all, an average experience when there are much nicer and better priced accommodation available at local bed and breakfasts.

My partner and I were celebrating my birthday in Stratford, and he wrote in the request for the room that we were staying there for my birthday. At check in, they let us know they upgraded us from our double suite to a King Deluxe Suite! It was such a wonderful and kind surprise and was so appreciated! The room was spotless, welcoming and huge. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The hotel was perfect and made my birthday weekend a success! Thank you!

We stayed one night when we went to the Stratford Theatre. The hotel was excellent. It was clean, nicely furnished, very comfortable beds. The bathroom was lovely. We ate three meals at the hotel restaurant. They were all excellent and reasonably priced. The staff was all so polite, professional and helpful. It was a five minute easy walk to the theatre and a short walk to the river and swans. There was lots of parking. We really enjoyed our stay and will stay there next time for sure.
