  Never been to Jay's actual shop (unfortunately), but Jay flew out to his client's wedding who's a mutual connection and I got a more than satisfactory cut. Jay is all about the relationship, experience, and what's best for the client. Sadly, these matters are lacking with this day and age. That is, however, not the case with Jay. As good of a person as he is a barber!

  Great Quality, Great Price
  
  Have been going to Jay's since I moved to the area spring 2018. Both Ray and Taylor provide excellent haircuts and at only 20 bucks, you can't beat the price. The atmosphere is extremely comfortable and the customer service is fantastic. They are up on all the latest styles and pay very close attention to detail. I highly recommend Jay's for a great quality, down home, classic barbershop experience for men of all ages

  Fantastic shop. I Always get a consistently excellent cut. Both Jay and Taylor are great. Highly recommend the shop. Book an appointment, don't expect to be able to just walk in...it's not First Choice Haircutters.

  If there was an option for 6 stars I'd pick it! Have had a haircut from Taylor and Jay and both were great. Best part of the shop is they have a small dog named Gord that greets you when you come in.
  
  I won't go anywhere else in the city. Try and book ahead though cause these guys are often filled up...for good reason.

  An important ingredient for any business to succeed is culture, something that Jay has crafted and maintained impressively. Jay has been cutting my hair for 4-5 years now. Every direct male family member of mine in Ottawa also visits Jay's Barber Shop. Jay has an incredible work ethic that is only matched by the quality of his haircuts (also, his unbelievable memory). I will always consider Jay a confidant and close friend.
