A job well done!! There's no sugar coating the problem when your 20 year old AC has seen better days. You do your due diligence to make sure you get the honest scoop on whether to waste money servicing an old clunker or replace. You source out the best possible bang for your buck on brand, installation, service and price. Capital City Heating & Cooling were excellent help checking off all those boxes for me. I was impressed by their start to finnish team and happy to replace my aged furnace as well at the same time. No more worries about a cold house in the winter or a hot house in the summer. Professional. courteous, resourceful, friendly....just a great bunch of people to work with.....5 star service.

From the moment I submitted a request, the staff were quick to respond and help me get what I needed as quickly as possible. I felt the staff were genuine, kind, and very patient with all my questions. They were flexible with payment options, offering a variety of ways to meet my needs.
The people who installed my furnace were kind, professional, and made me at ease every step of the way. I am so thankful to the team!

My Central AC failed and I called Capital City Heating and Cooling to come and have a look. When their tech came, he was diagnosing the AC to try to identify the issue. After some tests, he informed me that the compressor was burnt out and needed to be replaced. He called his boss to get another opinion and his boss also agreed that it was the compressor based on the information. He told the tech that they would give me a good deal on a new AC unit since a Compressor replacement would run around $2900 with parts and labor.

Before they did that, their customer rep (Jodi) looked into whether or not the Compressor would be covered under warranty. When it came back that it wasn't covered, she offered to send sales people to help outfit a new AC unit as it probably would not be worth replacing the compressor on a unit this old. I informed her that I would think about my options first.

I called another tech to come and have a look. They identified that the issue was actually with the contactor (a $20 part) and charged me $120 in labor to put the new one in. My AC was working perfectly after that part was replaced.

I was very upset that it seemed like Capital City was taking me for a ride to sell me a new AC unit. I called and spoke to Jodi again and explained what had been done while working with the other tech and explained that I felt I should get my money back for the diagnostic that they performed considering it was incorrect. I thought I was going to get resistance but Jodi was very happy to accommodate my request and said they would discuss with the tech to make sure they could learn from this experience. That's ensuring a great customer experience!

I was very happy with their service and their willingness to accept fault and resolve the issue. I should mention that some of their prices seem quite high though (I was told that a capacitor costs $250 - and found the exact one online for $30).

I have to also mention that they were very punctual for the appointment and followed up in the time they said they would. That is very appreciated and is often a problem area for the trades.

After getting quotes from four companies and checking the quality of the Bryant products we got our furnace last summer and the folks installing were great. Very professional and careful of our space (floor mats) and the cleanup super. Took me through a totally new process and made it very simple. Then this year an air conditioner. Tim and Sean were super, clean up fabulous, and they worked hard to accommodate our need to get away for an appointment at a certain time. Totally recommend Capital City Heating and Cooling.

I could not be more happy with the work this company did when they installed my new AC and Furnace! I have no experience with HVAC and had a lot of questions. Capital City answered them all without making me feel foolish. They went above and beyond expectations, accommodating all of my customization requests. The team put in a 12 hour day and did an amazing job. Everything was well explained, the work area was left clean and the whole process was as smooth as could be. My neighbour decided to go with them as well and is very happy he did. Thanks so much Capital City!
