WOW! I’m amazed by the impeccable service. My girlfriend and I just finished a full day of fishing. We were tired and hangry. We didn’t catch any fish either so we were pretty bummed out about that. I had the biggest smile the minute my friends over at upper deck chef express/NuCarib answered the phone to the last bite of my roti. Heck, I’m still smiling. I’m Guyanese and I always crave something that reminds me of home. These guys made my day! I’ll be back for more!

This was so disappointing, unfortunately. I ordered off of uber eats just now. One thing that was great - customer service. They were out of white rice and called to ask my preference. But the food itself was a let down. Portions are very small. In the picture you can see how little rice there is and how little of the container was actually filled. This would be fine for a lunch menu item priced at $13-$15 dollars, but for a full priced, $25 meal, this was a major let down. My meal was also cold. I was surprised it was delivered so quickly but clearly this means the food was sitting there, and obviously for a while for it to be so cold and have been delivered within the first 15 minutes of ordering. It shoukd have been piping hot. I'd rather have fresh, hot food and wait for it. You can also see in the picture how few vegetables are given. I hadn't even eaten any when I took the picture. All I had was one piece of potato and a fork full of rice. The fact I can see the bottom of the container on a dish this expensive is upsetting. I was really expecting better with all the good reviews and had high hopes because this is the only Caribbean place with curry shrimp around here. Ive now eaten a couple shrimp. They are a bit tough (overcooked) but the flavour isn't bad. The rice is tough and dry though probably because it's been around for a while. It has The consistency of rice that was left in a fridge and reheated without any water or oil to help reintroduce moisture. I'm hoping I just got s bad batch. Maybe if I order during lunch time when things are moving and maybe more fresh it will be better? But right now the dish I've got is not it. Sorry guys :

Had the Roti and Plantain. I'm a repeat customer. Love the Roti. Extremely flavourful and fresh. And love the plantain! They also have a cafe with waffles. Eager to try those next time! Great service!

Really enjoyed the Chicken Roti. It was a perfect size and the taste was amazing! Met the bud boss himself and had a great conversation about his native land Trinidad. Will definitely be making this a regular spot for authentic Trinidadian and Caribbean food.

Underrated Ottawa gem sighted!
Lovely venue inside a homely bus, the owner offers an amazing and fun energy for you before you even touch the food. Speaking of the food, I took my dinner for takeout but i’ll definitely be having it upstairs in the bus next time. One of the best curry chicken rotis i’ve had alongside some nice rice and beans and oxtail. Will be coming back!
