(August 26, 2021, 9:30 pm)I had a good experience with Mr Andrews. He will tell you up front he does not do therapy, he is all business. He seemed highly knowledgeable and competent in that way.
Kelly (his exec assistant) also was a big help getting 20 years of documents arranged in an organized binder, which helped get a fair settlement. When it was time to draw up the separation agreement and list assets, we could account for every dollar, my ex could not.
Make sure you are organized though. There is a cost if you have to send emails and calls back and forth to clarify things. Or if you drop off a ton of disorganized paperwork.
They will be happy to help organize things ; but billed at $450/ hr and in units of 1/10 hr or 6 minutes as a minimum charge ($45), even short 1 minute voicemail messages or one sentence emails can add up fast and eat into the retainer.
The only thing I was a bit taken aback by was how cold the experience was -it was a bit impersonal, but that is not unusual in dealing with the law, I have been told. A separation is an unpleasant experience for most, but I would have liked to see a bit of empathy. -
