(November 6, 2022, 6:36 pm)I've been a student of Maria's for 3 years (ballet). I think she's an amazing teacher. She has the right amount of rigour -- you feel like you're learning how to do things properly even if you can't do them (yet). But she also makes the classes fun and enjoyable. I also feel like she takes us seriously as students. She appreciates our desire to really learn, and does all she can to make that happen. Maybe the best thing of all is having a teacher of the calibre of dancer that Maria is. Watching her demo a step or chain of steps is a privilege. It's inspiring. I feel exceptionally fortunate to have Maria as a teacher.

(May 8, 2022, 11:31 am)Maria is a great teacher. I have done both online ballet classes and flamenco ( in person) with her. She is full of fun and positive vibes. She knows how to make learning fun. You never feel rushed or as if you're going to too fast to learn and remember. I highly recommend her classes and she is great with all ages too!

Without a doubt, one of the more complex styles of music to learn and understand. And then, add the movement! No matter what level of dance you are, this class is a great introduction to flamenco and, for more advanced dancers, a wonderful means to revisit and solidify the understanding of basic elements of flamenco. -

We are so lucky to have an artist of her caliber here in Halifax! Her school offers so many different classes and opportunities to perform. Flamenco has been my doorway to self-esteem, physical strength and a fun community of people from all generations and parts of the world!
