Great location, drive to the place is really amazing
Stayed in this place with a group. Booking was done by one of our group members.

There were water issues and the toilet upstairs in the cabin (the one with 3 bedrooms and kitchen) was not working.
The toilet downstairs was also not clean and not completely functional.

They allowed us to use the honeymoon cabin next to us and toilet and washrooms were good there.

I understand that it's difficult to get cleaners there, but a little more care in the cabin can make it a great place.

    Horse ride was a amazing.

Had an amazing experience at the ranch. We were a group of 11 people including 3 minors. Horse back ride is a must do, and take us to the real wilderness. We took 3 room cabin, with a huge living room and dining area for 2 nights. Could do better if you maintain the cabins.

    Overall amazing!!!

I had gone out on a 7 day multi day horse pack trip with this ranch back in 2017. The Chilcotin Mountains have some of the most beautiful and diverse landscapes. Miles and miles of open mountain tops and wildflower meadows feels like a mountain paradise. To really experience the true beauty of these mountains, you have to do a multi day horse pack trip and not just a one day ride.

When I first came to this ranch I did an all day ride. I was given the impression that a day ride takes riders on broad open mountain landscape similar to what's in the photos advertised on their website. The staff member that booked the all day ride for me told me I was going to be riding on open mountain terrain--which I later found out was not true because my ride ended up being several hours riding straight up and straight back through a forest. You do eventually get to a meadow but its a small one(not something that was worth being on a horse for several horse for, and the view when you get there was average). This staffer neglected to mention that it takes a couple of hours to get above tree line and that the majority of my ride was going to be riding straight up and and down through the woods(one way in and one way out). I did not drive all the way to this ranch to do a one way out and back ride through a forest. The whole reason I booked an all day horse ride was to spend the day riding through large valleys, and meadows with views of swooping vistas all around. But, A day ride does not take you far enough into the mountains to experience that type of landscape. You can only experience that on a multiday pack trip. The staff member that booked my ride did not tell me this. I was disappointed that I had come to this ranch under false pretense. People don't come to the Chilcotin Mountains to spend several hours going one way up and back down through a forest, they go there to ride through miles and miles of beautiful open mountain meadows. The photos that are advertised on their website is what
attracts people to the Chilcotin mountain range.

This ranch should really only be doing multi day pack trips and not waste their time on all day rides. If they are going to have people come up to Goldridge, don't have them come to ride for the day to see some small grassy culdesak on the top of the mountain. Have them come for the TRUE Chilcotin landscapes!

Amazing experience every time! We have had the opportunity to ride the South Chilcotin Mountains with Kevan and the crew at Chilcotin Holidays many times and are always blown away by the experience. Last fall we saw 8 grizzly bears in one day! Herds of sheep and mountain goats at times, and always, the incredible landscape that changes constantly with every step and every minute of the day. We have had great trips with the whole family as well as just a couple of us, and always had opportunity to learn and practice new skills, stretch our comfort zones and grow. Definitely my kind of get away!

My son and I went up to the ranch for some time away and were delighted by the freedoms the ranch held for us. We enjoyed our time, the food, and definitely the people at the ranch as we took in what the ranch had to offer and explored as much as we could. It's a very different lifestyle up there, and it's one that should be appreciated fully as they, and other organizations, are fighting so hard to protect, for now and for future generations to explore. We are only as good as we want to be, and up there it makes you want to be better. Thank you so much for everything.
