(August 11, 2023, 6:46 am)Tyax is the reward I give myself at the end of whatever mission leads me there. Everytime I eat dirt on a local trail, I remind myself about that view and the food waiting for me.
After renegade camping in a creekside hammock near Bralorne and getting eaten by mosquitos, the breakfast buffet at Tyax was the most civilized way to revive feeling human. They serve real berries and yum everything else. The view on the deck.... and lots of kind staff refilling mugs.
Mid-afternoon even if the restaurant is closed, bar staff can still get them to serve up the best fries ever. One serving is a full basket for two. Their crispness and the rock salt used... perfection. 15 conversationless minutes of chain eating fries, no complaints about eating dirt on the trails. Miraculous. -

(July 24, 2023, 4:42 pm)My fiancé and I stayed at Tyax with several friends during our engagement weekend over the Canada Day long weekend. Staff (especially Bayley) were wonderful and took great care of us. Our group had a beautiful dinner all together which went smoothly and tasted great! (Though we would love to see the famous crispy chicken sandwich back on the menu). The property is stunning and they offer free kayak, canoe and paddle board rentals to see the lake and there are lots of trails nearby to explore. We are looking forward to future trips here and are excited to look into having our wedding at Tyax.

(September 26, 2022, 3:29 pm)Staff are friendly and welcoming. The lodge is beautiful, and so are the lake views. I'd highly recommend a lake view cabin. The amenities are a perfect touch. We really enjoyed canoeing and paddleboaring, and stopping by the hottub after we swam in the lake. The quality of the food is great as well. I have nothing negative to express, this mini trip was perfect.

(July 19, 2022, 2:08 am)We just had our wedding at Tyax about a month ago and I am still buzzing from the amazing experience my wife and I had at one of the most beautiful resorts in BC. Grace and her team absolutely knocked the ball out of the park, going above and beyond with making our day as special as it could be. They are so personable and make having a wedding easy. Chef Tyson cooks the most delicious fried chicken I have ever tasted. I got to enjoy his cooking when we went for a visit the previous year and he remembered how much I liked the chicken. He then proceeds to bring us a special plate of said chicken for our head table as a surprise for our wedding dinner. This level of service is unheard of, the fact that he remembered I liked the chicken so much just goes to show how much him and his staff care about your guest experience. My wife and I will be coming back to Tyax every year to celebrate our anniversary, and I hope to see some familiar faces when we return. Tyax staff truly makes you feel like family and I will forever be grateful for one of the best experiences in my life.
