(January 25, 2021, 4:25 am)Love Steveston for is beauty, restaurants and cafes. I am not a big shopper but often stop in the gift shops for a piece of jewellery or small gifts when I am here. I love to run along the river paths and visit Gary Point park. I grew up here, so I have a little biased opinion

(January 20, 2021, 1:17 am)We spent a few hrs roaming around Steveston and did do the Cannery Tour. The tour was so interesting and I loved everything about it. Very reasonable fee to do the tour. We also had our lunch in the Village and that was very nice.

(January 2, 2021, 3:33 am)There are so many fishing boats selling their seafood in good market prices and good view for a sunset, good restaurants nearby. The 5 photos showed that the flooding might be coming within next few days but there in the river mouth so we should be safe, I hope.

(December 18, 2020, 8:49 am)On a lovely, fall day we wandered throughout Steveston's seaside pier setting, (before heading over to the piers that actually sell seafood), to enjoy the excellent historical homes and bunkhouses that recreate a period when salmon catch were canned for shipment abroad. No entry fee is required and one becomes lost in a former period of lifestyles to see how families and single men survived in this seaside setting and contributed to the seafood economy, probably one of the best displays of authenticity in the Pacific NW. Congratulations to the City of Richmond for creating this important venue!
