Does not explain their service fees when asked. They just want to get you out the door no matter what.
*EDIT* I have spoken with Christine at H&R Block who was very forthcoming regarding how their fees are charged, and I was offered a 20% off coupon for our filing next year.
I believe my experience to be more indicative of how H&R Block has moved into exclusively drop-off filing. The process now feels much more like a black box, and I feel like we're just expected to believe everything we're told about our filing at face-value.
While my initial visit could have been handled much better, Christine has gone above and beyond in rectifying the problem. I appreciate the extra effort much more than the 20% off coupon. -
