  Technically I would like to choose a 3.5 stars based on average customer service and good/ok repair. Based on previous reviews, I was expecting quite excellent customer service. However, I felt that the customer service was "average." Not really bad, but far from what previous reviews implied. The service was similar to other body shops that I have dealt with in past. As for the repair itself, everything has been ok so far. So nothing really to complain about.

  Overall, the service was okay but a couple of things left me quite disappointed compared to the level of service I received from another Body Shop in Richmond on Bridgeport Rd (which I won't name here). I only came to this Craftsman based on the glowing reviews, but now, I'll probably go back to the previous body shop I was using.
  
  Jason and Jacky were very good at communicating with me and letting me know what was going on with my repairs. There was damage from a previous "undocumented" repair and they were quick to point out additional parts that I would have to pay for to complete the repair. And unexpectedly, other parts I needed for my car needed to be shipped from Japan which would take some time and my 2 day repair became an over 2 weeks repair. The guys at the shop kept me in the loop most of the way. Once the part arrived, they were very prompt to put my car back together which I appreciated and the repair looks great!
  
  However, where they fell down was 2 areas....
  
  1. It looks like no one covered my seats or my floor mats as there was shop dust and powder covering my front seat and seat belt. And my floor mat was covered in dusty powdery foot prints. I had to spend a good 10-15 mins with a damp cloth cleaning my seats, seat belt and floor mats to wipe up the mess. Something that clearly could have been avoided if they placed a plastic bag over my seats and a paper sheet to cover my floor mat like other shops do.
  
  2. From my previous experience at other body shops, when I receive my car back from them, my car would have been nicely washed from top to bottom and even had a nice power polish performed to remove blemishes I had in the paint on other areas of the car so my car was looking shiny and bright when I got it back. But this was not the case at this Craftsman. From the looks of it, they barely even washed my car. Sure it was wet, but it looked like all they did was to give it a quick spray with the power washer. I could still see dirty spots in areas of the car that wasn't part of the repair and even worse, I could see in some areas of the car were covered in dust from the shop.
  
  If it wasn't for the good communication from Jason and Jacky, I'd probably given this place only 2 stars at most.

  Their repair was excellent! The staff provided excellent customer service.
  I was so satisfied.

  Jason the manager is the best. He provided excellent suggestions and fixed some minor scratches on my car for free. My car looks like new. Thanks a lot.

  I went into this shop based on better reviews compared to other local body shops. I would have to agree with other posters. The service here is top notch.
  
  The whole process of getting my Crosstrek fixed is very efficient. Jason + his team(including Lily, the receptionist) communicates and explains quite well what needs to be done. They even went extra miles for fixing couple of rock chips on the hood and cleaned out the diesel(likely sprayed by big truck) into my car.
  
  I would have no hesitation using this shop again.
