BC Sidemount

Just recently did a check out dive with Max, had a great time. He’s a great mentor/instructor, we did two dives where he video taped me, practiced multiple skills and ran through different scenarios. (And he’s a really good cook, which is included with your day of training lol) Max definitely knows what he’s doing with sidemount diving and I will 100% be using him for my future training. If you’re wanting to go down the technical route, even recreational sidemount diving, Max is the guy to talk to. Give him a shout, you won’t regret it!

I dived some of the caves up north with Max and the experience was 10/10 - very professional, well-organized and Max is a great diver, can't recommend BC Sidemount enough for Cave/Tec diving on Vancouver Island!

I was coming to the island for a few weeks and reached out to Max to find out what the diving options were. I’d heard there were caves up north, but didn’t expect to be able to dive them. Max offered a camping weekend expedition (for lack of a better term) and we not only dove a truly world class cave system, we searched for and found the entry to another.
Max and Ashley welcomed me into their lives for the weekend, and it was an amazing experience diving, exploring off-road, and hanging out at a campground talking diving and life with this incredible pair.
I was already full cave, but we discussed training philosophy and seeing him underwater, I wouldn’t hesitate to expand my skill set with some advanced courses next time.
Call them and go do some diving! Zero regrets, only great memories!

I am a research guy! Found BC Sidemount - a rare find for tech diving in BC oddly enough; recently trained with Max for 4 days and must say I am very pleased with Max, his knowledge; professionalism; and passion for his career. Highly recommend BC Sidemount and will continue my journey/training with them.

Max is an excellent instructor. The way he teaches the course is engaging, you can tell he is passionate about diving.

Max explained in detail what we would be doing prior to each dive, and we reviewed instructions and gear multiple times before entering the water, promoting a sense of safety and trust.

The course is thorough, and relaxed. I never felt pressured to practice any of the exercises until I was comfortable to do so and gave the thumbs up.
