(July 19, 2023, 4:50 pm)Thank you Lorena and staff for the care and compassion that I received when taking my 17 year old dog in .Taz lived a good long life but in the end he had a lot of health issues. Taz went to doggy heaven that day.

(June 4, 2023, 2:11 am)This clinic has the feel of a farm vet. Grounded down to earth and straight into the matter at hand. They have lots of heart. They seem to be about the work rather than the image, and more about diagnosing what is MOST likely to be going on with your pet and then offering additional options on an as-necessary kind of basis, as opposed to confusing you with so many expensive tests and options or pressuring you into expensive tests that might not be really needed. This approach was exactly what I needed for my dog. This is a really good place to take your pet for standard care and shots and when they’re sick but it’s not dire. It’s not the vet you would be able to use in an true emergency that required X-rays for example, but that’s not really what they’re there for.anyway. Awesome vet, very knowledgeable and willing to explain medications and also what to look for in your animal so you leave feeling more informed about your pet’s biology. I left feeling a lot of relief after the care I needed for my pup. I’ll definitely be going back for my essential doggo needs.

I have been taking my pets to Alberni Vet for four years since moving to the valley and have always been treated well.
The building is old and outdated but is always clean, you just have to look past that part..I worked in an old building myself for 23 years ( Malaspina Lodge) and found it to be more homey and caring..
I recommend this place of business to anyone. -

(May 14, 2021, 7:05 pm)they pushed me to get my cat de-flead and de-wormed, However when they applied the flea and deworming solutions to him they did not apply it to his skin AS DIRECTED, it didn't even reach his skin as he has long fur.. waste of 20 bucks I could've put it on way better myself. were very quick about giving him his shots and were gentle.
Payed 141$ for deworming, flea treatment & all vaccines except rabies
