What a delightful excursion on a gorgeous day. Ask for Emily as your tour guide. A snow board instructor in the winter, she switched to canoe tour guide in the summer! She is fun and very knowledgeable about the Banff area and wildlife along the incredibly beautiful Bow River. She has a great outside voice so that my hearing-impaired husband could hear her well!
We were on a 24-day road trip, and this excursion was one of our favorites!

I've never been on a canoe before and so wanted to join a group canoe tour to learn the basics while still being able to enjoy viewing Banff from on the water. I went on the 7 PM wildlife tour, which I highly recommend because the sun wasn't beating down on us, the river was mostly empty, and we were able to get an amazing view of the sun as it sets behind the mountain! Although we didn't spot many wildlife that day, our guide CJ shared a lot of fun and interesting information/stories with us that definitely added to the experience (all the while keeping us safe and making sure we didn't crash into anything)!

We took the 7pm paddle and it was a nice way to wrap up the day. Tim was our guide and he did a great job. You're not guaranteed to see lots of wild life but we spotted a few beavers, a bald eagle, and a loon on our trip. You'll paddle upstream for about 30 minutes then float back down for the rest of the time.

This canoe ride was a last minute activity and I am so glad we did it! Jon was amazing as a guide and provided tons of great information about the park as well as some high quality humor and entertainment! I’m still laughing at his joke about cougars. Fantastic activity to see the park from a different perspective.

Such a peaceful canoe trip. The water is absolutely gorgeous. It is crystal clear something that looks so unreal. My husband and I were on the bow river for 3 hours. It was so scenic, still and peaceful. This was my first time canoeing and the staff made me feel comfortable. The place was not packed or super busy which we loved. They also have a convenient parking lot.
