Beautiful inner city park to reconnect with nature. I love exploring the river bank around the lagoon. My dog loves it !! The flowing river and wet lands can feel calming and relaxing. During weekday lunch hours, many downtown workers like to take their walk and lunch breaks here. Weekends are always filled with tourist and locals enjoying the weather when they can. It's so cute seeing the goslings grow up

Princes Island park is a long time favourite to visit. Lots of activities and festivals are held here in the summer which are always well attended and many are geared at celebrating the cultural diversity of our city. There's a cute little café and the park is minutes from the core where you can enjoy shopping or a lovely lunch then return for a lovely walk by the river. It's connected to one of the longest pathways in Calgary, the bow river pathway, so a beautiful place to stop as you ride your bike along the pathway.

Nice place to go for a walk. The "Prince's Island Park" is located near downtown Calgary, and the inner city area of Kensington. This park is in walking distance of a number of shops and restaurants. They include a taco place, Chinese food, burgers, and much more. Overall, the park is fairly clean and decently maintained. Personally, I think the only thing the City of Calgary could work on would be increasing the security of the park. When I got to the park, some areas of it looked like people were "camping" or pitching tents there. My experience with the restrooms, was pretty average. At first, they looked a bit dirty, but maybe that's just because parks are outdoor, and public. During my visit, I explored the park using the walking trails it contained. These trails lead you "elegantly" through the park. In the future, I wish that they would add more parking.

My husband and I walk here regularly. It is a lovely little oasis in the middle of downtown. The big trees and the river flowing by make it a very peaceful place. They have a lot of beautiful flower gardens. In the summer one thing we really enjoy coming to on this island is the Shakespeare on the Bow. It is such a delightful relaxed way to enjoy a warm summer evening with the entertainment of great theatre.

A nice relaxing place to stroll with someone on a warm summer afternoon. If you like leisurely walks be prepared to park and leave your car for an hour at least. Amenities are few and far between. You may share the paved walk and grassy areas with a lot of others (people + pets) depending where in the park you walk. Some interesting events may be happening at various areas during warmer months.
