We were looking to finish our basement and we were referred to the Melanson team from friends of ours who just had their main floor reno completed. Once we sat down and talked to Jeff, we knew we didn’t need to talk to anyone else – we had found the right company to tackle our project. He was thoughtful, insightful, and up-front about what we were going to experience, both financially and during the construction process.

Jeff, Leslie-Ann and Phil were fantastic in the design and selection process. They walked us through each stage with amazing patience and expertise. They were able to offer their opinions while listening to everything we said and guide us in the right direction.

Once construction started, Brad was always available to ensure that everything was completed to specification and on time. Without fail, he was always able to provide an answer or deliver on promises to follow up. His customer service and attention to detail is beyond exceptional.

There were no surprises along the way, which is incredible not only during COVID but during any renovation. That’s due to the entire Melanson team pulling in the same direction. We are so thrilled with the final result that we’ve already started planning a main floor reno with Melanson. Melanson Homes and Renovation have lived up to their reputation as a company that listens to their clients from the beginning to the end of the renovation. Jeff, Leslie-Ann, Brad and Phil work collaboratively with their clients to ensure that the vision of the renovation created in the beginning is the one that is finally met. Nothing is a problem, it is simply a matter of figuring it out. Their attention to detail is quite amazing. They have excellent relationships with their trades and that is evident with the professionalism and excellent work from all the installers (cabinets, floor, tile). We are so pleased with the end result.

We had a great experience with Melanson Homes renovating our house and developing our basement. On recommendation from Morrison Homes ( an award winning home builder), we met with Jeff and his team to start our project. We worked with Phil and Leslie-Ann on the design and selection phase. Given the scope we had, it was very overwhelming, however, with Phil's expertise and Leslie-Ann's attention to details, the design was a reflection of what we want and what our family needs. Then it was under Brad's supervision to turn our old house into a home. While the project had its ups and downs ( due to COVID-19) , Melanson Homes team were always up front, doing their best to keep us updated and to keep the renovation moving full speed. We were very pleased with the renovation. It was a high quality job done by professionals.

We had an amazing experience working with Melanson Homes and would recommend this company to anyone who is interested in renovating their home. We had gone to the home show in September and ended up meeting with 3 different contractors. We choose Melanson Homes because they were honest and upfront about costs and were willing to work with us to stay within our budget. Brad was great at getting us ready for the project and answered our questions and dealt with our concerns quickly and with professionalism. We loved the program Buildertrend that was used. It allowed for excellent communication and we could see when work was scheduled. The quality and workmanship of all the trades people was precise and impressive. Melanson coordinated the renovation of our entire main floor, focusing on the kitchen, where we had two walls removed, the ceiling vaulted, new hardwood floors, new cabinets and lighting. We are delighted with the result. Jeff did a great job coordinating with a terrific group of suppliers , Brad provided the day to day quality control, and Brent was the hands-on talent for much of the work. The bulk of the work was completed within the two-month time frame we had agreed on, and we were very impressed with the quality of the work and the eye for detail, to make sure we would be pleased with the final product. We heartily recommend their service.
