(April 10, 2019, 5:31 am)In 1986 and 1987 I lived in a cabin that was on the property that this little island is attached to. I had horrid neighbors to the east; they lived in Canada and came down on weekends. I called them the "Holes", as in Assholes. Great Blue Herons would come to this rock in the lake and poop crawfish shells onto the rock. I snorkled around the rock and there were these amazing green freshwater mussels in the lake bed. I cooked up a couple - YUK tasted like mud. I was dirt broke, but good times. I loved skinny dipping at night, with the bats swooping around my head, eating the bugs I disturbed off the water.

(June 11, 2016, 11:33 pm)Whoever this Nala is, she has an amazing island. There is diving depth off the west side, sunning on the east, bird watching to the west.
