  This is a special, fantastic, family favorite island park. Accessible by private boat only. We felt so fortunate to be up here by ourselves in the late winter!

  Love to camp by boat on the island and the deer will come right up to you. Warning though the raccoons come out at night and get into everything.

  A jewel in the San Juan islands, the deer are friendly and the island trails are well maintained and easy to walk. One of my favourite boat camping destinations.

  A decently sized island with several protected bays for watercraft moorage and a good selection of places to pitch a tent. The views across the water are tranquil, and the shore has frequent wild visitors like oystercatchers, seals, and river otters. Campsites are $12 per night. During the summer months there is drinking water available from taps at the campgrounds.

  We've visited while sailing the San Juans the last three years in a row. Northern cove is the best spot to bring your boat. There is a dock where we tied our 40' catamaran last year, and there are a few mooring balls. Also room to anchor which we did this year. Mooring balls appear to be gone from the southern cove, which is open to wakes from passing boats. Short, beautiful walk across the island on a well maintained path with quiet, shady woodlands on the north side and sunny exposure on the south. We've seen the black-tailed deer in the grassy orchard area on the north side on two of three visits.
