(August 12, 2019, 7:41 pm)The trailhead is a beautiful stand of high canopy pines. Relatively easy incline for the first half. If you take the left fork to the basin 'loop' (yellow marked trail) you will have a steep incline That includes an iron rung ladder that was hammered into the rock face. If you take the right fork at the half (blue marked trail) it is less steep but longer to the summit. View at the summit is limited by trees. There is a good but narrow view of island pond.
