(September 26, 2018, 8:26 pm)This is a good location to bring your dog. There are lots of good people to talk with as your pets are running along the path with each other.
A couple things to be aware of. They do not have clear requests on their posts saying where the off leash dog area ends. Particularly heading south bound. When you are familiar with the area it is not a problem. However, newcomers beware.
Additionally, the bicycle traffic can be absolutely terrible. And i mean terrible. It can be stressful when you have a group of 10 bikers passing by and your dog is off its leash. I would not recommend bringing a dog here who is not well enough trained to come at your command. Our dog has been run over once due to this.
It is truly a beautiful location. walking on the river bank is perfect for a date. And walking with your pet is another bonus. Just make sure you can control your pet. You will be grateful for it. -

(April 29, 2018, 11:15 pm)Great place for a fun walk. Gets windy at times but great view of the river. The pathway is paved and clean, standard width so bikers usually go around.
Great view of the new North Commuter bridge being built. Not a very busy dog area compared to others in the city which is nice but the pups don’t get as tired.
The park area is well kept and clean, not much for tall grass. The dogs here are often still on leashes so I do not think it is a real off leash area, just a nice stroll with your pup. Great sunrises if you are up that early as it faces east. -

(March 8, 2018, 11:38 pm)Perfect little park with a nice mix including dense woods, open field and water access with beaches. Fairly popular so lots of dogs to play with.
It's a shame the city feels the need to gate it off.
