I tried again (because they are close to work)... this time some wonton soup and an imperial roll. First: it was $17 for a very small soup and the roll. Which is a bit pricey. The service is good. They are polite and bring you the food with some water.
The imperial was ok... but the wonton soup was not good at all unfortunately. I only finished it to avoid wasting food. The dough was very mushy like paste and the meat was the same... the broth lacked any taste or flavor and for almost $7 they gave me 5 wonton.
Unfortunately i will not be returning, i tried to give them another chance. Sushi Itamea is much much better and just a few blocks away...
Update #1: We used to love eating here. The people were really nice and the food was always fresh and good.
Unfortunately there was a change in ownership a few months ago and everything but the service and friendliness changed. The new owners are really nice but the food has changed.
They are putting something in the sushi rice that is different and the wafu sauce that comes with the maki rolls has been combined with something else. The taste is just off. We tried it 3x after it changed hands and it is not the same.
It is really unfortunate because we used to love eating there as we are in tbe neighborhood every day. -

I had the best sushi experience in my life here and I will be ordering from here whenever I can. -

Was hoping for a descent restaurant but it seems to be take out style in downtown areas now) $35 for a party combo.
I have lived 2 years in Japan and pretty flex with sushi makis and sashimi. But when the rice is not tender and sticky, it does not make good makis !!! Also the few sashimis we had ( tuna and salmon, not very well prepared. -

(July 8, 2018, 9:41 pm)Super satisfied! The sushi were rolled perfectly! Not too much rice, lots of ingredients on the inside! Super delicious!!! They were almost too beautiful to eat 😍😍😍 I've tried many different sushi takeout restaurants, and this is by way the best!!!
