Little secret near the north side of Tremblant.
Wonderful mix of exquisite food and simple staples.

A restaurant serving game meat as a focal point. More than I've expected in a place hidden away in a off route to national park tremblant. The restaurant exterior nor interior did not look high end. It was as the name says.. rustic. Very good chef, had complex flavours layered across meats and vegetables. I ordered the smoked deer tartar as a starter and the pork belly as main. The tar tar melted on your palette with every bite, I didn't know raw deer could be so soft and succulent. The pork belly fat and meat congealed nicely together (I assume sou vied) and when pan fried the way it was? It just exploded with flavours within. Potatoes Vegetables were done well with a dryer bechamel sauce that paired well.

Advice to the owner.. Saw a couple of millennials walk out after seeing the menu and prices. Its not a good look for either side. I understand from the reviews of price complaints as well. Perhaps the restaurant should put their menu outdoors to help tourists have better expectations?

The chef is a real pro. I went for a Thursday fixed menu, and even things i don't normally like were delicious. Often cheap ingredients were turned into a real chef d'oeuvre. Also we had no reservation and they were fully booked, but they managed to squeeze us in. Absolutely loved this place!

Ambiance was great! Our server was friendly and efficient. Food was delicious! Portions and prices were fair. Our fave was mussels and fries - really tasty! Lounge music in the background complements the mood! Will be back!
