We stayed the weekend of October 30th and loved our stay. The cleanliness of the room, the comfort of the bed and the ease of accessing the room without any need to go through a reception were very pleasant. The accommodation is in a great location. The restaurant located just below, "Le Radodeux", is magnificent and what about the quality of the food, the presentation of the dishes as well as the welcoming and friendly staff. We ate dinner and lunch there and we enjoyed both meals very much. Communication with the owner Daveena is simple and efficient and we feel that she is ready to do anything to meet our needs. Very nice room up to date and very clean. The sound insulation was not perfect but the person in charge told us they were working on it.

Positive:
Beautiful, well decorated rooms. Small but functional. Beautiful large glass shower and very comfortable bed.
Affordable price.
Large smart TV on the wall.
Coffee machine and two capsules + cups and spoons provided.
In the center of Shawinigan near lots of restaurants. The food at the Radoteux downstairs is excellent. Please note the restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
There is no one on site who deals exclusively with the rooms but I had very good service on the phone when I called the lady.
To improve:
There was a very long wire of dust on the ceiling that ran from the light fixture to the wall, just above the bed. Too bad because everything else in the room was very clean.
The wifi is either not strong enough to supply all the guests who were staying when I was there, or the router is too far from the rooms. It was practically impossible to watch a Youtube video, even lowering the quality of the videos to the lowest.
The bedroom doors do not have that little rubber hem at the bottom which means that when you are in the corridor, you can clearly hear everything that is being said or done in the bedrooms. In fact there is clearly 2 centimeters of opening between the bottom of the door and the floor.
Continental breakfast is included but the term should be revised, it is a mini croissant with two citrus slices, a yogurt and a small canned juice. It is served in a brown paper bag that is left on your doorstep around 11:00 p.m. the night before. Yogurt and fruit that spent 8-10 hours in the sweltering heat of the non-air conditioned hallway whet your appetite? I understand that covid complicates things but it's really weird way of doing it. I didn't have lunch on the third morning.
My colleague's room had no coffee capsule and only a tiny towel, as if the room had not been inspected between guests.
It would be nice to leave the air conditioning unit instruction manual in the bedroom. I must have spent a good half an hour trying to remove the settings of the previous occupant.

To see !! A real Jewel, superb apartment decorated with care, very well organized, very clean and above all well located. We were able to try the restaurant located on the ground floor of the building and the food was really excellent, especially regarding the Sunday brunch to try at all costs, impeccable service. Communication is easy and fast. My partner and I will be back without hesitation. Thanks again!
