(August 8, 2020, 6:24 pm)Silvestre has a long and well earned reputation in this town as an expert in italian and European collector car repair and maintenance. Olivier, his son is just as good and dedicated. I have been a collector of italian and European cars from the second half of the last century for 50 years. In my old age I am ever more finicky and demanding. These simple cars are prima donnas and unfamiliar to many a modern mechanic. It takes a long time and effort to learn how to sync six double body downdraft Webers on a 12 cylinder Ferrari engine from 1967.
Fear not, Sylvestre and Oliver can do that and much more.
I just picked up my 74 Alfa Zagato. Olivier recommissioned it after it had been in storage thought the winter and little used the summer before.
I had requested a bunch of work but they very honestly only did what the car needed. How that for a old time approach, how is that for honesty of the old kind. What is even better is that they were right all the way.
My rare Zagato drives like new. Grazie mille. HIGHLY recommended. -
