Had an antenna installed today on my apartment railing in NDG (Surburb of Montreal) by Mario. Spoke to him on the phone a couple times before hand, he was very friendly and very informative. I really liked the fact the he tells you up front the whole process, what he’ll do and what he believes you’ll get and not get. I was using a paper thin Amplified antenna which was alright and gave me quite a few channels BUT there was always some sort of interference and you never knew if you’d be able to watch your favourite channel from one day to the next especially MeTV, WPTZ, WNNY and a few others. He called ahead, showed up on time and (after doing a scan), installed my fairly small antenna in a location he felt would give me the best signal. He was very professional, very clean and made sure everything looked nice and tidy. He told me ahead of the installation I would probably get the same channels I have now and “maybe” a couple more but I would no longer have to deal with any interference and the channels would be clear. We checked channels as he installed and aimed the antenna just perfectly, he told me about 4 channels that link through ABC in Vermont (WVNY, Grit, Laff, Quest), that “may” or “may” not come in spotty now but when they upgrade their tower and signal later this summer I would get it perfectly clear all the time. It ended up that with the installation of the new antenna I get those channels nice and clear now except they are a little iffy mid afternoon. I have no doubt when they upgrade I’ll get them clear all the time. Ended up that not only did I get the 27 channels I had before crystal clear and interference free, I ended up with 35 channels - an addition of 8 unexpected channels. ALL the BIG name channels including some awesome other channels (MeTV, ION TV, Antenna Tv, Grit, Circle, Start, Movies Network, Laff, Quest, Bounce, Crime-Court/Mystery Tv), that are not available with cable in Canada. We will see what the future holds, he has stated that if I have any issues at anytime, let him know and he’ll come back ASAP to deal with it. Although it’s only day 1, I am very impressed with Marios services and my channels so far. Highly recommend doing this and stop paying the big corporations with rotten customer service thousands of dollars year after year. The USA has mandated that Tv must be made available over the air for all and Canada has started to follow suit so it’s only going to get better. In the last year 9 new awesome USA channels have come online.
