I have been going to LUUC for 2 and a half years now, and I have to say I really love it! I had attended the Montreal UU a few times and had enjoyed it, but there is something even homier and more intimate at LLUC that is quite charming. I enjoy the variety of topics that are discussed in the talks, I enjoy the variety of speakers as well (in MTL, there is a regular Minister whom is great, but it is almost always the same person). What really really turns m on at LLUC is the musical director Kerry-Anne Kutz. She sings a song for meditation at each service, and they are always beautiful and often touch me to the point of tears. I love that. I also enjoy singing, so I love to sing during service.
I have two small kids and they enjoy going too! They enjoy the games and activities that go on during service, and the space in which they get to run around and be free is large and full of fun hiding spots. I love that we interact with all kinds of people of different generations; it makes for interesting discussions!
    I love it!!

I discovered this community of nice people almost three years ago. Nice welcome, nice music, it's a haven of peace and reflection that requires no belief in one or more gods to participate fully. But at the same time, there is respect for the message of peace and compassion conveyed by several religious or spiritual traditions.

Truly, this is a gathering of people of great intellectual curiosity and emotional intelligence. And as with any self-respecting Unitarian association, people from all walks of life, traditions and orientations are welcome. Since there is no pastor or religious leader, the community must take charge of its own affairs, which is a source of freedom but also a significant management challenge.

I found the small LUUC community incredibly welcoming and open minded. No matter your beliefs (or even if you have none!) the LUUC provides a platform to celebrate, share and contribute to our local community.

At first, being in a church building, it seemed to me it might perhaps "too religiousy." But the message and people themselves are anything but!

After a sitting through a few services and (especially) during the discussions afterward over coffee and cookies - it became clear how open, diverse and interesting this group is.
