A unique Canadian experience.
Very helpful and happy staff. We did half day dog sledding and it was totally worth it. Trails were very pretty and overall it was fun activity.
Love it.
We stayed in Quebec City and dog sledding was on our “to do” list. Family of 4, kids age 6 and 14. There were lots of choices. I emailed several, they were the first to reply so I booked them after reading other family’s experiences. This is an easy drive from the city, not more than 20 minutes even in weekday traffic. Arriving you can go to trailer to borrow cold weather clothing if you don’t have any. They have a hut with the puppies to visit. They give you a brief explanation of how to drive the sled and off you go. It’s a learning curve and requires attention and some physicality. But my son drove his own and did great after some initial getting used to how to slow the sleigh. My 6 year old daughter was a passenger in mine and mom went with son. There is nothing like this experience. Exhilarating, fun, thrilling WOW. The area is beautiful woods. We did 1/2 day trip at cost of $370 Canadian. They stop after an hour and a half in a warming Teepee with wood stove for hot cocoa or coffee with cookies. We wore ski gear, no goggles, and snow boots. Toes got a bit cold but everyone thawed in the teepee. Anyone can do this. But it does require some physical strength and agility. The guide was friendly, genuinely cared for safety of dogs and guests. It was an expensive experience but well worth it. I would do it again.
Great experience! We really much enjoyed a day sledding with the dogs and the staff there was really good and helpful. I am just not sure how I feel about the dogs living like that but everyone seems to think that they are happy this way. I felt some seemed scared of humans which makes me worry
