(August 19, 2023, 12:34 am)They have some delicious foods and the location is beautiful. Service was also good and we were squeezed in without reservation.
The only reason for the 4 stars is the above criteria in relation to price. The ingredients were of high quality, but the portions a bit small.
I will gladly return, and recommend the Au Boucaneux to everyone (my favorites are the appetizer eel and the seafood poutine). -

(July 7, 2022, 1:19 am)Enjoyed this gem along the waterfront in Rivière-du-Loup. The fish was very good. I went around 7 and I had to wait about 10 minutes to get seated. Service was friendly and they had local beer available. However, I didn't like how it was over $11 for a can of beer, but it was good for a local craft beer. Ended up paying over $50 which is usually more than what I want to pay. Nonetheless, for the experience and location it was good to do once.

(June 7, 2022, 12:42 am)Warm and friendly service even if you don't speak French. Lobster roll was amazing, definitely 100g seasoned lobster meat if not more on lettuce in a flatbread. Lobster poutine is also amazing with a good portion of lobster, lots of cheese curds and a white sauce kind of like bechamel. Indoor seating is very cozy and homey and outdoors seating with a fantastic view of the St Lawrence.

(May 24, 2022, 1:10 am)Definitely a hidden gem, I initially went here to view the sunset but stumbled upon this place. Amazing food, the portions are surprisingly large. Service is good too.
