By The Bay Cottages

Beautiful location. Near the water, a beautiful bike/walking path, golf course, etc. Affordable. The host communicates quickly with guests, but response time for issues was not always super quick (we needed more towels after wiping up a leak in the bathroom, but since it was after hours it had to wait until the middle of the next morning). The cottage itself was clean, but in need of maintenance/repairs. Some deck boards were rotting and soft/unstable. Chipped and peeling paint. Most importantly, there were plumbing issues in the bathroom which caused quite a lot of mold to form on the baseboards and in the linen closet. For this reason, we probably will not return.
PS: Be sure to ask for sheets/blankets for the sofa bed. There was no extra bedding in the cottage.

My family stayed here for a family friend wedding in cottage #9, and I was startled by how neat and polished the inside was despite it looking a bit run down on the outside! We have been going here every since for the last 3 years, I'd have to say the entirety of the experience is fantastic. The owner was incredibly welcoming and hospitable, check-in process was smooth with no hurdles. We saw the employees filtering out the garbage singlehandedly, with so much passion and heart into their work. Sunny and her team was so warm and courteous, they gave it their all helping us get the best experience!

So me and my wife and kids stayed here for 3 nights about a month ago. Despite the reviews about being charged extra or anything. We had no problems. Would definitely go back. Pool was clean. The sunset view was amazing.

You can’t beat the location. It’s a stunning spot convenient to lots of spots on the side of the island. Kids enjoyed the pool and the laundry was a bonus. Beds were comfortable and linen clean, but the rest of the cottage was not. The floor was very dirty, and an earwig crawled out of the toaster. The kitchen is stocked with random items that don’t really make a complete set of dishes. We had 1 functioning light bulb in the main room the entire stay, and the door was broken when we arrived and they kept saying it was going to be fixed the next day but never was. No shampoo or soap provided. I would stay again for the property and location, but know what you’re booking.
