(July 19, 2019, 9:32 pm)Ben Smith - Proprietor of “Enchanted Candles”, a native Prince Edward Islander and resident of Victoria by the Sea for the past 50 years. Former Mayor of the town and a lover of history. Most of all a true artisan who makes these special candles that are unlike anything I’ve seen before (I’ll post a photograph of one in the comments). Be sure to look for it.
We spent about an hour this morning talking to Ben and he told us many interesting things about the area and about his time living in this small town. It was a joy to hear his stories and we look forward to crossing paths with him again someday.
This photograph is Ben sitting at his workplace in his little shop. Notice the old half-round window. It took him sometime to find exactly the type of window he was looking for and he’s quite pleased with this one.
If you happen to find your way to PEI make sure you go to Victoria by the Sea and stop by his wonderful little shop. He’s located directly across the street from the lighthouse.
