Want to send my thanks for providing a wonderful place and time of respite for my brother-in-law. He was not looking forward to being in a home, any home, for 9 days. He was more than pleasantly surprised at the quality of food, the care and attention given by all staff. His words, "They treat you like a person." This meant so much to me and all my family as it allowed my sister to have her first holiday in 10 years and not be fretting because her husband was unhappy. Visitors found him happy with his room and chatty. Not things that usually are used to describe him. Another example, he loved apple fritters and when one was brought to him in the early afternoon he refused it as he was too full from a delicious dinner. He never ever refused an apple fritter before. So please be sure all staff know that they do make a difference. They made this usually uncomplimentary man say only good things about Stewart Memorial.
