Bay Vista Motel

Pleasantly suprised by the pool, barbecue, play house, fire pit. Water view was lovely and each room gets a balcony with adarondak chairs.

This motel was very nice! The room was clean and the place is simply wonderful.

The person that welcomed us was very sweet! The motel had a water notice, but they provided us with free bottles of water to compensate, which was very nice.

The breakfast is a classic continental breakfast. The fruit salad was very good!

I would really recommend this place!

As far as motels go, the Bay Vista Motel is a wonderful, family friendly place to stay while enjoying the beauty of the Cavendish shore on Prince Edward Island.
We were there for 4 nights mid July 2023.
The rooms were very clean, with well working air conditioning units. The beds comfortable and the service from the owners consistent and reliable when we needed extra bedding, a cot and extra towels: bath towels and beach towels.
Being able to do a few loads of laundry in the laundry room for guests also added to the comfort of our stay.
Simple continental breakfast in a cottage style dining room overlooking the 9' deep in-ground pool (super clean, well maintained) and vast green lawn and garden (lots of room for kids to play and families to use the barbecues & picnic tables as we wished).
A 6min drive to Cavendish Beach and also very close to Green Gables, made for a perfect location as we went from one PEI attraction to another.
The current owners took over in 2015. They are very kind, friendly and hardworking, which is why our stay at the Bay Vista Motel was so enjoyable and relaxing. We will return!!

We enjoyed our stay. I would be back. Location is good, only 4 minutes drive to Cavendish central area. The room is big, the bathtub was new and great. Air conditioner, mini-fridge, microwave and chair to sit outside. The outside area is nice. Although the pool was cold, my kids liked it. I loved the fact it has laundry! For 4$ I was able to wash and dry a lot of clothes. Our room ( number 10) had an old carpet, it looks dirty (but it hadn’t odour). The breakfast is very basic and not tasty at all. Although it’s free, we only got it in one of our 4-days stay.

Friendly and kind staff with extremely clean rooms made our stay the most wonderful experience. We came from Alberta and pleasantly surprised. While the rooms are more older style wise, I appreciated the cleanliness far more then modern style. Lots of space for children to play and pet friendly environment.
Would highly recommend!!
