  I have weird eyes. After cataract surgery about 10 years ago, one eye is great for distance, the other is set for reading. This means I can accomplish most tasks without glasses, but I do need to correct the reading eye when I drive and the distance eye when I read. So I've always had two pairs of glasses. About two years ago, I started having trouble working at my computer. My son was getting new glasses at Centre Optical and I asked Goldie if she could help me. She suggested "computer glasses" - progressives made specifically for screen work. They were fantastic from day one. Recently, I've become tired of always having to wear different glasses. I also wanted to be able to see when I cycle, read street signs when I'm walking and read package notes when I shop. So I decided to get a regular pair of progressives. I've moved quite far from Centre Optical, therefore went to another optician. After two tries (their glasses pulled my eyes in different directions and actually hurt me), they told me that if they'd known about my "mono vision", they would never have made me progressives. I called Goldie and she was confident she could make me a pair that would work for me. She was right! I'm thrilled with my new glasses. They felt good from the first day and it took just a few more days for me to get completely used to them. Thanks Goldie! Next time, I'll come straight to you!

  Center Optical is under new management, the new optician, Goldie has exceptional customer service skills. She helped me pick a perfect pair of Ray-bans for my computer glasses. I get tons of compliments from my fellow students at the University of Waterloo. I totally recommend a visit to the store if you're in need of glasses!

  Fabulous service! Goldie was the best she has excellent customer service and very knowledge. She was the best match for me and she is very patient. Highly recommend if your in need for eye glasses and I would purchase from there again.

  Centre Optical is under new ownership. The new owner is lovely and very friendly. I had some concerns about my daughters glasses and she took the time to fix them for me (bought under old ownership less than a year ago). I love this store. They have the best selection of Kids Eyeglasses in the Toronto area that I have seen. I searched all over North York, mid town and Thornhill and this place is the best for children. They obviously also have a wide selection of adult frames, but I was there for my six year old with a very small face and there was no shortage of styles and colours to choose from. Best of luck to the new owners! We'll be back!!
