(August 7, 2019, 12:32 pm)I spent a lot of time looking at hardwood flooring. The choices of flooring being engineered, solid or laminate made deciding more difficult. I was convinced that solid was the way to go, After visiting several flooring shops and countless hours on the internet I thought I decided for a solid hardwood product that was not Superior Flooring. I visited the store to purchase the solid flooring when I saw the Superior product and the thickness of the wear layer. At 5/32” thick, Superior had the thickest wear layer of the other engineered products I had looked at. The plywood layers were solid core hardwood that even my Installer noted, “made nailing (stapling) a breeze, and was very high quality.” The engineered product allowed me to use wider planks and the colour I wanted. The engineered product is far more stable than solid. I opted to purchase the Superior engineered product. Zero wastes!
Three dogs and zero scratches on the wire brushed product (not that I would care about some scratches, it’s hardwood, it’s supposed to have character!).
