Dr. Bissonnette is an eexcellent doctor. He is very knowledgeable and takes his time listening to symptoms and performing necessary tests to diagnose. He is very approachable and explains everything very well.
I must have been to over 100 doctors in my life for myself and family members so this is no small statement....
Dr Bissonnette is almost impossibly fantastic at his job. I'm utterly shocked every time I see him. You'll never meet a more well informed, intelligent, caring person in your life. You can't really do him justice with words because if you imagine the best doctor you've seen or the best TV doctor you've watched he's still better.
He is the top of his field, taking part or running cutting edge studies. You can't find anyone better qualified. But perhaps even better, his bedside manner is unreal. He speaks like a normal person, like a buddy you had over for a beer. He can have the most intricately detailed conversation with you or bring it down to a layman's level. He never rushes you, and he'll spend however long it takes to get the right treatment and ensure you're OK with it and understand everything fully.
I wish Health Canada would make this guy Dean of everything related to Canadian medicine and give him veto power over every other doctor who graduates so he could teach the rest of them all how a true doctor should function. It's sad that he is such an anomaly.
