Dosa Twist

It's very authentic taste. The sambar, coconut chutney and tomatoes chutney was good. The dosa is good size and quite filling. 1 dosa and 1 filter coffee was enough though I am big portion eater but masala dosa is really filling. I ordered Kara masala dosa almost felt like mysore dosa. My hubby got onion masala dosa which was basically masala dosa but fine chopped raw onions were sprinkled inside. The platter was good I am not a great fab of upma but their upma was really nice could feel it was roasted in ghee. The orange sheera they serve is tasty too. Quick service and very friendly staff. Will surely visit again.

Very authentic South Indian taste. Please don't get me wrong but this place served us better Dosa than the Saravanaa Bhavan(not sure why there is so much hype). I loved the taste and quantity. The filter coffee is also very good. Overall I highly recommend this place for South Indian food. Ambiance is very close to small eateries in India which I personally like. It's not a grand restaurant but a very good nook for a quick bite.

We chose Dine-in for Lunch at Dosa Twist. The restaurant is good enough for a good 20-30 people in total. My husband and I went there to try vegetarian south Indian food.

We tried Sambar Vada, Mysoor Masala Dosa, Schezwan Uttapam. It was not at all spicy. I asked to make a medium to spicy. Not the best South Indian food out there.

We were hungry and it did make our tummy full. Not the best taste. Average food. I am sure my daughter will like it all because it wasn't spicy but I didn't enjoy the food.

This was our first time trying their food. We haven't tried their Mississauga or Etobicoke locations. Our experience was really good, the restaurant was super clean and the food is amazing.

Starting with the location, they have opened recently so you will NOT see their name on the plaza road side board. Make sure you understand the location before you drive. There are 2 entrance of the plaza you can pick any.

Ample parking spots however, not able to locate handicapped parking. Also, they do not have handicapped accessible entrance or bathroom. They lost 1 star due to this Please see pictures for more details.

They have 2 high chairs for young ones and a decent seating capacity.

We ordered for take out on Sat afternoon. No rush and the we met the owner at the counter. Really great South Indian couple managing the restaurant providing great experience to the customers. The owner is the cook too, so you can expect great quality food.

We ordered 3 items and everything was ready in 10-15 mins. Served hot with sambhar, 2 chutneys and 1 suji halwa.

The 2 dosas - cheese dosa and paneer burji dosa were really good. We actually liked the paneer burji dosa really a lot. We are from northern India and we loved the way paneer burji was cooked maintaining the spice levels.
We also ordered 1 schezwan uthappam and that was really good too.
However, the paneer burji dosa was the best.
The sambhar was one of the best we had in GTA. They have maintained a good spice level in their food including sambhar but not making it hot.
The chutneys and suji halwa were good too.

We believe the big dosa chains have modified their quality to lower the spice levels but they have definitely not.

We can definitely say that they pose a good competition against the other international chains.

The overall price was reasonable too, a total of $40 for 3 items including 15% tip.

Note- this is for the plaza owner.
When asked for handicapped accessible entrance, we were told it is part of the plaza / owner. This is not the first time we have heard this. We believe that every location must be equipped with handicapped accessible entrance and parking and really hoping that this comes in as an initiative from the plaza owners rather than restaurants. Although reducing 1 star would also push the restaurant or business owners to push the plaza/building owners to put the handicapped accessible entrance.

I went to try out the place and I am in love. The ambiance is great and the most important thing, the food was amazingly tasty. I went with my friends and we ordered different items to try and all were so good. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I will be definitely going back there again and again. Loved it ♥️
