(October 28, 2020, 4:27 pm)Needing to find a car certified and ready to go in a hurry. I saw an ad from City Motors online for one that would work if it was as described in the ad. After calling them and telling them I would be coming to look at the car and would NEED to be able to leave with it that day. Also, they would have to scrap the car I was bringing. They were up to the challenge!!!
When I saw the car and took it for a test drive, I was sold. The car was accurately described in the ad and they were very open to my inspecting it and checking out whatever on it I wanted to look over.
After agreeing to buy the car, I mentioned there were 2 things I would have wanted done if I had more time. Since I had the exact same car to trade in for scrap as I was buying. I really wanted to have my leather steering wheel swapped over to the “new” car as it had stereo controls on it and the new car did not. Also, I was unhappy that the new car did not come with a key fob, and I would have the added expense of buying one later and having it programmed.
The owner immediately said he would swap the wheel right away for me and that he could program my current key fob to work with the new car if I wanted. Which he did in less than an hour as part of the deal.
After a couple of days, I noticed an issue that I should have seen on the day I picked it up, but with the rushing around I had missed it. Since the car came with a limited warranty I called and asked if it would be covered.
Absolutely was the answer. When I returned to have them look at it, that issue and another one was taken care of under the warranty. The owner was extremely helpful and more than a little upset that he had missed the issue himself. After the issue was “fixed” he was quick to add if it is NOT 100% repaired call and let us know and we will see that it is. So far 5 days and 300 miles later it is all good.
I definitely, recommend checking them out for both service or buying a used car. It is great to have found a place that takes pride in what they sell and how they look after you once you have paid for a used car. -
