I saw Dr Chu today for the first time. I was very nervous going into this appointment. She is a very nice woman and showed a lot of compassion towards my health concerns and questions. My nerves quickly disappeared once she started talking to me. The appointment was thorough and not rushed. She made me laugh during this appointment too, which nice and also helped relax the nerves.
Dr Chu is a very experienced and knowledgeable Gynaecologist, listens carefully and makes an apt diagnosis based on it. Her receptionist is very friendly and understanding. I’ve rarely seen people as warm as she is. They are a great team and effectively make sure that patient care is given the most priority.
I got a referral to see Dr. Chu through my family doctor. I agree that there are long wait times, but the quality of what you get for a caring Physician is unbeatable. She also spends some time with you and its never a rushed appointment. This is big, as almost every specialist I have been to gives you a 2.5 minute appt after you wait for 1+ hours. I went to 4 OB's to fix my period issues and each of them failed. Dr.Chu was the only one willing to listen and find a treatment plan for me and IT WORKED. Each appointment was great, and every issue I had she addressed and made sure I understood why my body was doing that. I also worked in the health care field and in my opinion, she is better than most. There are certain circumstances that may influence her as a bad physician to some, but in my case she was the only doctor who took my concerns seriously and acted on it appropriately. Oh, and I can't leave out her amazing receptionist in this review. She is always swamped with work but will NEVER give you attitude or speak to you in a rude tone as I've experienced at other specialist offices. I recommend this doctor.
Easy to talk to. She is the most supportive doctor I ever had. Friendly receptionist, she too makes you feel welcomed.
