Terri Tenaud, you are mistaken. Dr Gelfand's practice is as a periodontist not as general dentist. Periodontics is the specialty of dentistry that studies supporting structures of teeth, as well as diseases and conditions that affect them. For tooth problems like cavities, go see a dentist. It's like you went to Starbucks and are complaining you did not get served a beer with peanuts.
Dr Gelfand's office obtains from my general dentist X-rays that I've already had. And he reports to her his findings and plans.
Dr Gelfand explains my periodontic problems in great, clear detail. His surgical skill and judgement are superb!! He is so professional!!! His team of dental hygienists and secretarial staff are unusually efficient and pleasant. It is clear how much respect they have for him and vice versa. Such a positive atmosphere in that office I have never witnessed before, ever.
It is unusual but I cannot find any room for improvement.
