(August 11, 2019, 7:16 pm)Excellent Chinese dim sum with a superb BBQ department. BBQ duck and BBQ pork are very famous there. Be prepared to spend a little more for the quality you get.

(July 9, 2019, 1:19 am)Really "high end" dim sum place where you order from a menu and they serve it to you. No dim sum carts around. Service was typical for a dim sum restaurant. We (4 patrons) had to pay $6.40 for "tea/mustard" - I'm assuming tea and hot sauce because we did not order mustard. So a little on the expensive side.
We also made reservations for 1045 (we arrived on time- and was only seated at 1125. This restaurant has a deal where you pay a flat fee of $3.75 per plate of dim sum if you order before 11am. Because we were seated so late, we did not get this deal. Highly recommend coming at least 30mins earlier to be seated at the time you want.
Food was good! Their BBQ pork buns are to die for. -

(April 26, 2019, 11:23 am)I decided to try Crown Jewel after my favorite dim sum place in Scarborough closed down hoping to find a restaurant to fill that void. Unfortunately that search continues. Crown Jewel serves good dim but my only complaint would be the price, which is on the high side. The service is meh, which is to be expected of most Chinese establishments. Would I go back for a second round? Probably not.
