(March 29, 2019, 7:43 pm)Dr. Erin was AMAZING. Our lab Eddie swallowed a sock (typical lab - will eat ANYTHING). We went to our regular vet and they immediately advised he have surgery to have it removed. They gave us the option of inducing vomitting to see if it would come out, but they urged us to go the surgery route as they said there's too many complications with inducing vomitting. We spoke with a friend in vet school and they thought surgery was extreme considering they didnt know where the sock was in his G.I tract; she recommended a second opinion. We called Roncy Animal Hospital and Dr. Mark picked up (I've never had a vet answer my call before, so helpful). We came in and saw Dr. Erin and she said we should try inducing vomitting as a first option as there's low risk with that option, and if that didnt work then do surgery. We left our dog with them for 10 minutes and they called to tell us it worked! We were so happy that on our way back to the clinic we bought Dr. Erin flowers to show our appreciation. Great clinic; wish it was closer to our house so we could make it our regular vet! Regardless, good to know we have a place we can take our dog for a second opinion in the future!
